Overall Learning Objectives:


At the end of this meeting, participants will be able to:

        • critically appraise the latest published evidence on topics of orthopaedic trauma and elective practice;
        • apply evidence-based principles to optimize well-informed practice decisions;
        • analyze the latest developments in orthopaedic care delivery from a systems perspective;
        • list the latest developments in orthopaedic care delivery from a technological perspective;
        • summarize the proposed upcoming changes to the musculoskeletal section of the OHIP fee schedule and the OOA’s methodology for determining targeted fee increases; and
        • formulate strategies for creative leadership in the changing landscape of orthopaedic care delivery.

        This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has been approved by the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. You may claim a maximum of 10 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

        Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
